Robotics -Adept Technology to Showcase Robot for High Speed Food Handling

Adept Technology, Inc. reportedly plans to showcase its new A accepted robot for high speed food handling, the Adept Quattro s650HS. The Quattro s650HS is the only “A Accepted” parallel robot available for applications like meat and poultry processing.

The company will also highlight its advanced packaging management software solution, ACE PackXpert at Pack Expo 2009. These demonstrations will highlight technology that helps manufacturers increase production while reducing integration costs and deployment times.

According to Rush LaSelle, director of global sales and marketing for Adept Technology, Inc., officials look forward to engaging with new and existing clients in evaluating how Adept Technology and its latest automation solutions can be applied to address industry needs. Both ACE PackXpert and the expanded Adept Quattro line gives producers and processors best-in-class tools to increase production, reduce costs, meet stringent hygienic standards and also reduce the time to market.

The Adept Quattro s650HS is available with a new fixed platform option that provides enhanced flexibility for higher payload  products. The Quattro line is designed for high-speed manufacturing, packaging, material handling and assembly applications. The Quattro features a four-arm kinematic that enables higher speeds, faster accelerations and exceptional performance across the entire work envelope.

Installation is easy with powerful compact controls and embedded amplifiers that also reduce workcell size and overall system footprint. The speed and precision of Quattro makes it ideal for flexible packaging, material handling, kitting and assembly applications where performance is important.

ACE PackXpert is a software solution built on Adept's fully integrated automation control environment, Adept ACE. The completely flexible ACE PackXpert solution has been designed specifically for packaging applications. It helps manufacturers respond quickly to part changes without lengthy reprogramming.

ACE PackXpert features an easy-to-use intuitive graphical interface and 3D workspace display for visualizing the system operation. This software helps users coordinate the efforts of an entire line of robots by working across multiple controllers. The program was designed for novice users with no programming required in bringing an application online, while permitting users with V+ programming expertise to leverage their existing library of V+ functionality.

Adept Technology, Inc. provides intelligent vision-guided robotics systems and services. Adept systems provide great performance and economic value throughout the production lifecycle. This, in turn, helps customers achieve precision, quality and productivity in their assembly, handling and packaging processes.
