Robotics -KUKA Robotics Innovates for Packaging, Palletizing Market

KUKA Robotics has announced reportedly three new additions to its wide range of packaging and palletizing robots.

The company’s latest KR 700 PA, KR 470 PA and the KR 300 PA round out its innovative, versatile range of packing and palletizing robots, toting payloads ranging from 40kg up to 1300kg.

The new breed of palletizers use large working envelopes, maximize stacking heights, accommodate sizeable end of arm tooling, while employing useful centers of gravity with payloads of 300kg, 470kg and 700kg, officials said. These new products are suitable for use in the most rigorous palletizing and de-palletizing applications, according to the company.

KUKA (News - Alert) Robotics boasts a growing partner network and includes experienced system builders, system providers, application specialists and expert robot integrators. The company leverages this network to provide customers with realistic, revolutionary solutions.

The company’s solutions help customers to achieve higher throughput rates and efficiency. Its integrated operator control concepts and short cycle times ensure substantial cost-savings for users.

KUKA Robotics Corporation supplies industrial robots and material handling vehicles. Their robots are utilized in a wide range of industries including the appliance, automotive, aerospace and consumer goods industries.

The company has also announced two new software programs: Layer Tech and Bag Tech. The Layer Tech software program can simplify the process of flexible palletizing pattern creation and product changeovers. KUKA’s Bag Tech program has been developed to support high speed bag palletizing applications.

In July, KUKA Robotics announced the appointment of Yarek Niedbala as director of sales for Canada. This move is expected to further strengthen the company’s position in this market.
