Schilling Robotics recently announced the successful completion of the delivery of the new HD work-class ROV system to Seabed, provider of services that enable Inspection, Maintenance & Repair, Survey and Construction Support and Subsea Decommissioning. Schilling Robotics completed the order for the delivery of a 150hp, 4,000m-rated HD 23 ROV system during December 2011.
In a release, Tyler Schilling, chief executive officer for Schilling Robotics, said that, “We are very proud to have added Seabed AS to our expanding customer portfolio. They are a discerning and innovative company, and we are delighted that they have chosen to expand their fleet with our products.”
The HD has been designed as a work-class ROV system which offers critical flexibility in a number of applications which include construction, intervention, and IMR applications. With its integrated design architecture, the HD ROV system delivers a high level of reliability and availability for a number of leading sub-systems which translates into a substantial decrease in components and offers easy modular maintenance. Another added advantage is a significant reduction in the timeframe for replacement of major components which otherwise can be extremely time consuming.
Delivering a high-level of reliability, and performance and configurability, the HD ROV system offers Seabed with exceptional functionality within a number of applications. Hans Martin Gravdal, CEO for Seabed, said that, “With our experience and expertise, combined with ultra modern vessels, the HD ROV system will complement and enhance our capabilities as a prominent subsea operations company.”
